BIOGRAPHY & EDUCATION

Kennesha earned her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Nyack College’s Alliance Graduate School of Counseling and her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Child and Adolescent Development from Southern New Hampshire University. Her clinical experience includes working as a Crisis Clinician and counseling individuals and groups in the areas of depression, anxiety, PTSD, identity awareness, spirituality, trauma, abuse, and grief.

Kennesha is also a member of the American Counseling Association and the National Society of Leadership & Success. She initially worked in the entertainment industry in many capacities for over 20 years. Her love for music and entertainment is derived from working with various performers and artists and an array of music classes from The Julliard School.

Kennesha combines her desire to help individuals and her love for music to effectively develop optimal performance in each person she encounters. She believes it gives them the cognitive fortitude to mentally overcome and triumph over extreme situations and hardships.

Kennesha’s core goal is to assist those suffering from mental illness through creative techniques that allow them to express themselves safely. She is an advocate for those that feel lost and guilty about having a stigma placed upon by society. She will teach people how to properly assess issues through music, art, drama, dance, and other creative ways all while improving their self-esteem.

Kennesha believes that creating a therapeutic alliance for the client is essential to secure his or her trust and she remains committed to the confidentiality of each person she counsels.

Her motto is simple—“pray and go to therapy.”
